  Program 1 (CBT001) – Traditional Lifestyle and Sightseeing in KoYaoNoi (2 days)

Day 1

09.00 น.
Depart from Phuket’s Bang-Rong Pier by boat

10.30 น.
Arrive in Ko Yao Noi and get a brief introduction to the island from your local guide

11.30 น.
Meet your homestay family over lunch

14.30 น. Discover Ko Yao Noi’s unique attractions and activities by car


Explore the island’s 7 traditional villages 
Learn about the creation process for beautiful, brightly colored batik fabrics with a
    special demonstration from a local batik group
Visit a factory manufacturing coconut shell souvenirs
Enjoy delicious traditional sweets
Take a trip to a freshwater pond
See water buffalo, the animal that has traditionally helped Thai farmers to plow their
    fields
Test out your bargaining skills with a trip to the local market

19.00 น. Dinner with your homestay family

Day 2

07.00 น. Breakfast with your homestay family

08.00 น.Travel by boat with your homestay family to see traditional-style fishermen at work. Stop off at Thailand’s only lobster farm and see a black king fish farm.

10.00 น.
Enjoy snorkeling in the waters off the Hong Islands, where you can view unique coral reefs.  You can also watch swallow’s nests being collected in island caves. Considered edible delicacies in places like Taiwan and Hong Kong, these nests can be sold at extremely high prices.

12.00 น. Lunch on La-Deng Island

13.00 น.
Visit Lao-Hun-Too Island to experience the unique life of a Moken, or Sea Gypsy, Village.  Go diving to see multi-colored coral reefs and sea fan plants.

15.00 น.
Return to your homestay family’s home

19.30 น.
Dinner party for all homestay program participants
 
21.00 น.
(Optional) Visit the local night market to try out Ko Yao-style Roti, a tasty Indian pancake that can be made with a variety of fillings, including banana and eggs 

Day 3

08.00 น Breakfast with homestay family

09.00 น Departure from Ko Yao for Phuket’s Bang-Rong Pier by boat


Price

For groups of more than 4 people, the program’s fee is 2,000 Baht per person - this price includes accommodation, food, transportation, and activity fees, along with a donation
for a Ko Yao conservation fund.

Note

Depending on the lunar cycle and tidal patterns, some programs may include collecting wing shells and a trip to Thailand’s only blue coral.
